Online donations are securely processed through Stripe. Payment-card information is entered on Stripe-hosted checkout pages and is not stored directly by the AFA website.
Yes. Select Monthly in the donation form before choosing or entering your gift amount. Stripe will charge the selected payment method each month until the recurring donation is canceled.
Use AFA’s secure Stripe customer portal to review billing information, view available invoices, update an eligible payment method, or cancel a recurring donation. Stripe may verify your identity using the email address associated with the donation.
Stripe can send a payment confirmation or receipt to the email address provided during checkout. Keep that email for your records.
Autism Foundation of America has applied to the IRS for recognition of exemption under section 501(c)(3), and the application is currently pending. While the application is pending, donors do not have advance assurance that contributions are tax deductible. If the IRS ultimately recognizes AFA’s exemption for the period in which a contribution was made, that contribution may qualify as tax deductible under applicable law. AFA does not provide individual tax advice, and donors should retain their donation records and consult a qualified tax professional when needed.
No. Impact levels illustrate priorities a donation may help support. Unless AFA expressly accepts a written restriction, donations may be used where they are most needed to advance the mission, develop programs, support operations, and serve families.
Donations are generally treated as final. A donor may contact AFA regarding a duplicate charge, incorrect amount, unauthorized transaction, or other exceptional circumstance. Requests are reviewed individually and approval is not guaranteed.
